گورنمنٹ آف بلوچستان اور لاہور یونیورسٹی آف منیجمنٹ سائنسز (LUMS) میں قائم نیشنل اے آئی ہب برائے ماں، نوزائیدہ اور بچوں کی صحت (MNCH) نے ماں، نوزائیدہ اور بچوں کی صحت کی خدمات کو مصنوعی ذہانت، ڈیجیٹل اختراعات اور شواہد پر مبنی فیصلہ سازی کے ذریعے مضبوط بنانے کے لیے ایک حکمتِ عملی شراکت داری پر MoU پر دستخط کیے، جب کہ دستخطی تقریب LUMS میں منعقد ہوئی۔ (پریس ریلیز، 10 اگست 2026)
MoU کا مقصد ابھرتی ہوئی ٹیکنالوجیز کو بروئے کار لاتے ہوئے بلوچستان میں خواتین، نوزائیدہ اور بچوں کی صحت کے مسائل کو حل کرنا اور بہتر نتائج فراہم کرنا بتایا گیا ہے۔ معاہدے کے تحت دونوں فریق ترجیحی شعبے طے کریں گے جہاں اے آئی سے تقویت یافتہ حل صحت کے نظام کو مضبوط بنا سکیں، سروس ڈیلیوری میں بہتری لائی جا سکے اور پالیسی سازی و منصوبہ بندی کے لیے شواہد فراہم کیے جا سکیں۔ دستخطی تقریب میں گورنمنٹ آف بلوچستان کے سینئر حکام، یونیورسٹی کی قیادت، محققین، ماہرینِ صحتِ عامہ اور تکنیکی ماہرین شریک تھے۔ بلوچستان کی نمائندہ وفد کی قیادت سیکرٹری ہیلتھ جناب Mujeeb-ur-Rehman نے کی، جس میں Dr. Shahkoh Mengal (Chief, Health Sector Reforms Unit)، Dr. Ababgar Baloch (Provincial Coordinator, Balochistan Health Management Information System – BHMIS)، Dr. Muhammad Dawood (Director Technical, Health Department)، Dr. Sher Afghan Raisani (Provincial Coordinator, Health Department)، Dr. Asfanyar Sherani (Head of the WHO Sub-Office, Balochistan)، Mr. Jahangir Bazai (Senior Consultant) اور Poverty Eradication Initiative (PEI), Balochistan کے نمائندے Mr. Ahsan Azam اور Mr. Muhammad Imran شامل تھے۔ UNICEF Balochistan نے بھی ورچوئل طور پر شرکت کی۔ تقریب میں بلوچستان کی MNCH ترجیحات، صوبے کا ڈیجیٹل ہیلتھ منظر نامہ اور مقامی ڈیٹا کے ذریعے صحت کی خدمات مضبوط بنانے کے امکانات پر تبادلۂ خیال کیا گیا۔ LUMS کے Provost اور Acting Vice Chancellor Dr. Tariq Jadoon نے کہا، “This partnership with the Government of Balochistan presents an exciting opportunity. Through the National AI Hub, we are leveraging computer science, artificial intelligence, and machine learning to improve people’s health, and we are pleased to contribute to this important work.” Syed Babar Ali School of Science and Engineering کے Dean Dr. Walter Schwarzacher نے استقبال کرتے ہوئے کہا، “The work being done by the National AI Hub provides a way to take the fundamental research carried out at LUMS and apply it in ways that bring real benefits. This is an area in which we can demonstrate that AI can make a tangible difference to people’s health and lives.” نیشنل اے آئی ہب کی ڈائریکٹر اور ایسوسی ایٹ پروفیسر آف کمپیوٹر سائنس Dr. Maryam Mustafa نے کہا، “Balochistan should not be seen merely as a deployment site. We want to understand what home-grown, localised, and contextualised tools for Balochistan, built in Balochistan, should look like. By involving partners from the design phase, we can help ensure that what is built is adopted, has longevity, and serves the province’s needs.” حکومتِ بلوچستان کی جانب سے سیکرٹری ہیلتھ Mujeeb Ur Rehman نے کہا، “This is not just another project for us. It is a project through which we hope to improve maternal, newborn, and child health indicators. LUMS brings the technology and expertise, and we bring the commitment to address the challenges we face.
